Feeding Guide for Kittens & Adults

Feeding Schedule

0-6 months: Splitting your kitten’s daily intake to 4-6 small meals throughout the day

6-12 months: Splitting your kitten’s daily intake to 3-4 small meals throughout the day

12 months Onwards: Split your cat’s daily intake to 2-3 meals a day.

Kitten - Ideal Meal Portions Per Day

Everyone who has ever had kittens knows how energetic and curious they can be. They need a lot more food than adult cats so they can fuel up for their adventures.

However, kittens cannot eat as much as adult cats in one sitting, instead they require multiple smaller meals at a time, between 4-6 smaller meals throughout the day. To keep up with their everyday activity and maintain their energy levels, they require as many nutrients as they can receive.

General Kitten Raw Feeding Guide

2-4 months: Feed daily between 10% and 13% of their current body weight in pounds

4–8 months: Feed daily between 6%–10% of their current body weight in pounds

8 to 12 months: Feed daily between 3% to 6% of their current body weight in pounds

Adults - Ideal Meal Portions Per Day

Adult cat’s metabolism tends to slow down as they get older. Your cat could seem to be sleeping more in the sun and only getting up to eat and play sometimes. While some cats may maintain their high energy as they age, others tend to become sunspot chasers.

General Adult Raw Feeding Guide

Cats at their ideal weight: Feed daily between 2%–2.5% of their current body weight in pounds
