1. Household Cleansers
Household cleaners that are dangers for your cats are things such as laundry detergent, drain cleaners, and toilet bowl cleaners. When you're cleaning toilets or doing laundry, keep your cat out of the room. When a cat consumes some common household cleaners, it may drool excessively, have chemical burns, vomit, and have trouble breathing.
2. Human Antidepressants
Human antidepressants are similar to catnip for cats, they can't help but eat the tablet since they enjoy the scent of popular antidepressants including Effexor, Prozac, Cymbalta, and Zoloft. However, instead of helping your cat’s mood or energy level, human antidepressants make cats lethargic, tremble, have convulsions, vomit, diarrhea, and get overheated.
3. Dogs Tropical Flea and Tick Medications
Never give your cats insecticides meant for your dogs, not even a little dog. These drugs frequently contain high amounts of a chemical that is extremely harmful to cats and is derived from the Chrysanthemum flower. Likewise, don't let your cat lick the medication off your dog. Keep them in a separately room the first day of your dog’s flea and tick applications.
4. Ibuprofen, Baby Aspirin, Naproxen, and Over-the-Counter Aspirin
Giving your cat even half a medication while he has joint discomfort can be catastrophic, leading to kidney failure and stomach ulcers. Before giving your cat any over-the-counter painkillers, make an appointment with your veterinarian.
