Our cats absolutely love cat tunnels, we have our eyes on #1, the Moon Star tunnel which is grey during the day (photo above), and dark with glow in the dark lights at night (photo below), made with extra soft fabric that I know my cats are going to love.
Cat Tunnels
When picking a cat tunnel, they all have the same function such as allowing your cats to stalk, hide and play with one another as well as themselves (if you only have one cat), most have a fluffy ball that moves when they are in the tunnel making it more fun for them.
Cat tunnels comes in various different colors, shapes, and styles, most of them thankfully are collapsible which is great for saving space.
Shapes: straight tunnel, “S” shape, “C” shape, “T” shape, circle shapes that acts as a bed as well, and then you have your 3-way, 4 way, and 5 way tunnels “*” shape.
Things to consider when choosing a tunnel for your cats is:
1. How playful and how many cats do you have? The more cats you have, we suggest the bigger your tunnel should be, but that is completely up to you, they will have fun in any of these 10 tunnels we have collected.
2. How much space do you have? If you have very little space, I wouldn’t get a 3, 4 or 5 way tunnels unless they are collapsible, or maybe get a 2 way tunnel, either in straight, S shape, or circle shape.
3. What color or style do you like? You might choose one over another simply because it is more ecstatically pleasing to you. If you want one that’s funny looking, a dinosaur tunnel would be perfect, but it might not at all match your house, unless you have a dedicated cat room.
4. What material should you get? There are some that are faux fur, which will be much softer and stronger and less likely to rip but more costly, or you have polyester which will be on the cheaper side, most are scratch resistant (ours have never ripped, but that is not a guarantee).
These are just some of the things to consider when choosing a cat tunnel, just remember most of these are all collapsible, so you can fold them up when your guest is over, or easily travel with them.
