Tuna Ice Lollys

Especially on hot summer days, your cat will love these homemade cat-friendly tuna ice lollies. It is so quick and simple to make to help cool down your pets!

These are occasional treats and are not suitable for cats with special dietary requirements.

Ingredients

- 400ml Water

- Liquid from 1 tin of tuna in spring water

- Any ice cube molds OR small paper cup for a mold

- Meaty treat stick (any kind of treats that are shaped in a stick form)

Directions

1. Pour your 400ml of water into a jug, and then add the contents from a can of tuna in spring water (but not the tuna) and stir.

2. Pour the liquids in ice cube molds or place them in paper cups and then place them in the freezer to be partially set. The mixture should start to freeze after an hour or less depending on the mold, if unsure, check every 20 minutes.

3. Once they've begun to ice, take the mold out and place the meaty cat treat (that will serve as the lolly's stick) into the partially iced cubes. Refreeze them by placing them back in the freezer.

4. Once the ice lollies are frozen take them out. If you used an ice cube tray, then it is ready to serve! If you used a paper cup, then make sure you cut off the paper cup before serving to your cat.

Tip & Tricks:

In order to prevent the lolly from melting all over your floor, it is advice to offer these to your cat in a bowl, plate or outside (preferably in the shade if it is a really hot day).

Enjoy!
