*Frozen Salmon Oat Treats

On those hot summer days, we all worry about our furry creatures, especially the extra furry ones! So why not give them a special treat that will help cool them down?

You can give this to your kitties along with a healthy diet, these are not meant for cats with unique dietary needs.

Recipe makes 9-12 servings.

Ingredients

- 1 cup (100g) canned salmon, boneless and drained

- 1 small carrot

- ΒΌ cups (25g) rolled oats

Directions

1. The carrot should be peeled and sliced into little cat bit-size pieces and boiled in a pot of water until tender.

2. Take the oats and put them in a processor and blend them into flour. Alternative: you can use pre-made oat flour.

3. With the food processor add both the salmon and the carrots and mix well.

4. Pour the mixture into silicone molds of your choosing or an ice cube tray. It is ideal to freeze overnight or until the freeze is set.

5. You can give these to your kitty once it's frozen!

The frozen snacks can be stored for two to three months in the freezer. Enjoy!!

Tip & Tricks:

In order to prevent the treat from melting all over your floor, we suggest giving these to your cat in their food dish or outside (in a shaded place if it's a particularly hot day).
