Let's face it; this holiday season, everyone deserves a treat, including your cat!

Why not treat your kitty companion to some homemade Christmas biscuits? They are tasty cat treats that are quite easy to make!

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

- 100g rolled oats (or premade oat flour)

- 100g cooked white meat turkey (no salt or seasoning added), chopped small

- 1 large egg
 

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C).

2. Oats should be added to a food processor and pulsed into flour. A different option is to use pre-made oat flour. Pulse the food processor while adding the turkey chunks to get a smoother mixture.

3. Once everything has been thoroughly mixed, add the egg.

4. Take the dough out of the bowl and form a dough with your hands, the dough should be divided into four equal balls. Three of the dough balls should be placed in the freezer (for future use).

5. Lightly dust your work surface with flour. Then take a small amount of the dough, roll it into a shape of a tiny ball, then flatten it with your finger or spoon to form bite-sized biscuits meant for cats. Or use any molds for cute shapes!

6. Place the biscuits equally on a baking sheet coated with parchment paper and bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until golden brown and tops have dried out, at 180 °C. After cooking, let the food cool fully.

7. Once cooled, it’s time to give your cat a treat now! The holiday cat treats can be kept in the refrigerator for up to five days in an airtight container.

You should only give these to your cat as occasional treats, alongside a well-balanced diet and they’re not suitable for cats with special dietary requirements.
