This cat-friendly birthday cake is the ideal way to spoil your cat on a special occasion, whether it's a birthday or rescue anniversary, they will be extra happy!

This recipe is quite simple to create because it only calls for a few ingredients and doesn't involve baking. Keep in mind that your cat should only have this as a rare treat in addition to a diet that is well-balanced. Cats with unique nutritional needs should not have it.
 

Ingredients:

- 1/3 cup sweet potato, mashed

- Half a can of tuna in spring water (drained)

- 1 tsp plain flour

- 1 potato, mashed (for decoration)

- Meaty stick for a candle (for decoration)
 

Directions:

1. Fill a saucepan with water, bring to a boil. Meanwhile, wash, peel and chop the sweet potato into pieces and place them in the water to boil. Boil in water for about 10-15 minutes or until tender. Once the potato is tender, allow it cool completely before mashing till smooth and making sure there are no lumps.

2. Drain a can of tuna in spring water (you shouldn't give your cat tuna in oil or brine; spring water is healthier). In a small mixing bowl, add half of the can, your sweet potato mash that has

3. Use cookie cutters to shape your mix, there are many mold suggestions below. Place a round cookie cutter on a small plate and line both with baking paper. Spread the mixture evenly after spooning it into the prepared ring. Place this in the refrigerator to chill for 10 minutes.

4. For your "frosting”, make sure your potato is properly cooked through and that there are no lumps when you peel, cook, and mash it. After letting it cool, loosen it with a little water, and then spoon it into a piping bag.

5. Remove the cakes from the refrigerator and from the molds. To decorate, pipe the cooled mash on top. If it's a birthday cake, you can substitute a meaty cat treat in the shape of a stick for the candle. Serve your cat's food at room temperature as some cats do not like food straight out of the refrigerator.
